Job description

We are seeking an experienced Technical Analyst to partner with our Technology Developers, Product Team, and Business Team to implement and support technical solutions that meet organizational objectives.

The Technical Analyst will help prioritize user requirements, oversee system changes, research new tools and technologies, and develop technical specifications for the development team. This role will also identify and resolve technical issues and roadblocks in collaboration with developers while helping ensure strong system performance, reliability, and security.

This position reports directly to the Technical Manager.

The successful candidate must be comfortable working independently, making progress with limited oversight, and operating effectively in a fast-paced environment., * Partner with Technology Developers, the Product Team, and business stakeholders to design, implement, and support technical solutions.

  • Gather, analyze, and document functional and technical requirements.
  • Develop, review, and update technical specifications for delivery to the development team.
  • Assist the Product Team with prioritizing user requirements and evaluating system changes.
  • Coordinate with the Development Team on application support activities, including quarterly releases, defect resolution, and change management.
  • Identify technical problems and roadblocks and collaborate with developers to develop effective solutions.
  • Work across Cloud, Infrastructure, Security, and other cross-functional teams to support application architecture and system integrations.
  • Document integrations between new and legacy systems.
  • Reconcile technical and business needs across multiple teams and product portfolios.
  • Communicate with stakeholders to understand business processes and functional requirements.
  • Support system performance, reliability, troubleshooting, and security efforts.
  • Research emerging technology trends, tools, and industry developments.
  • Facilitate discussions between technical and nontechnical stakeholders to identify practical solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Five or more years of relevant professional experience.
  • Proven experience as an IT Systems Analyst, Product Analyst, Business Analyst, Technical Analyst, or in a similar role.
  • Experience working in a technology or solution-delivery environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to nontechnical stakeholders.
  • Strong facilitation and relationship-management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to manage priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment with limited oversight., * Previous experience in the electric utilities industry.
  • Experience working with large, complex enterprise systems.
  • Familiarity with programming languages such as C#, Java, or Visual Basic.
  • Knowledge of databases, system security, application support, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with multiple project management and software delivery methodologies, including Agile, Waterfall, and SAFe., * Bachelor’s (Preferred), * Technical, Systems, or Business Analyst: 5 years (Required)
