Job description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Repair Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and experience in repairing various types of equipment, particularly in the realm of computer hardware and networking. This role involves diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and ensuring that all equipment is maintained to the highest standards.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electronic issues in equipment (laptops, pc and all one computers, TV)
  • Upgrade hardware on laptops computers and all in one pc or other IT equipment.
  • Prepare reports on computer equipment deliveries and collections in a very organised way so the item remains in the inventory and the inventory is maintained.
  • prepare orders for commercial and public clients and customers.
  • Perform repairs on computer hardware, including desktops, laptops, and peripherals.
  • Utilise hand tools effectively to carry out maintenance and repair tasks.
  • Read and interpret schematics to understand equipment layouts and functionalities.
  • Conduct routine maintenance checks on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Assist in the setup and configuration of computer networking systems.
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed on all equipment.
  • Collaborate with team members to improve repair processes and enhance service quality.

Requirements

  • Strong mechanical knowledge with a focus on equipment repair especially Laptop pc and computer equipment.
  • 2 years experience will be necessary as we need a candidate that is professional and shows quality in their ability with preciseness when delivering equipment
  • Networking office equipment will be handy
  • Proficiency in using hand tools for various repair tasks.
  • Familiarity with computer hardware components and their functionalities.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics accurately.
  • Experience in computer repair, including troubleshooting software issues.
  • Knowledge of maintenance practices for both mechanical and electronic systems.
