Job description

A growing organization is seeking an experienced Senior Infrastructure Engineer to play a critical role in designing, maintaining, and enhancing its enterprise IT infrastructure. This position is ideal for a highly skilled infrastructure professional with expertise across cloud technologies, networking, virtualization, security, and identity management who enjoys solving complex technical challenges and driving infrastructure modernization. Working closely with the Information Technology team and cross-functional stakeholders, you will help strengthen cloud and on-premises infrastructure, improve operational efficiency, implement security best practices, and support the ongoing evolution of enterprise technology platforms., * Serve as the primary escalation point for infrastructure engineering and operational issues.

  • Design, deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows Server, VMware ESXi, and cloud-based infrastructure.
  • Manage enterprise networking environments, including firewalls, switches, wireless access points, and cloud networking technologies.
  • Administer Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange, OneDrive, Teams, and related collaboration platforms.
  • Manage Active Directory, Azure Active Directory, Group Policies, identity governance, and access management solutions.
  • Maintain virtualization, storage, backup, and disaster recovery environments.
  • Implement infrastructure security improvements and support cybersecurity initiatives.
  • Coordinate enterprise hardware and software deployments, upgrades, and infrastructure lifecycle management.
  • Participate in change management activities for production infrastructure.
  • Troubleshoot complex network, server, cloud, storage, and security issues.
  • Work with managed service providers, telecom vendors, and external technology partners.
  • Maintain detailed documentation, technical standards, and knowledge base articles.
  • Participate in the IT on-call rotation and support critical infrastructure outside standard business hours when required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 5 7 years of enterprise infrastructure engineering experience.
  • Strong experience administering Microsoft Azure and Windows Server environments.
  • Experience supporting VMware ESXi virtualization platforms.
  • Experience managing enterprise networking, including firewalls, switches, wireless infrastructure, and routing technologies.
  • Strong knowledge of Active Directory, Azure Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, Group Policy, MFA, SSO, and MDM solutions.
  • Experience supporting Microsoft 365 environments.
  • Familiarity with cloud networking technologies such as VPC, NAT Gateways, and Transit Gateways.
  • Strong understanding of infrastructure security principles, NIST Cybersecurity Framework (NIST-CSF), and endpoint protection platforms.
  • Experience working with storage, backup, disaster recovery, and enterprise infrastructure monitoring solutions.
  • Knowledge of routing protocols including BGP, OSPF, GRE, and IPsec.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, documentation, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Relevant Microsoft, Azure, Fortinet, or infrastructure certifications are preferred.
