Job description

  • Provide first-line IT support to clients by email, telephone and remote support tools.
  • Log, track and update support tickets.
  • Assist with Microsoft 365 administration and user management.
  • Monitor security alerts and investigate issues where appropriate.
  • Support Cyber Essentials and cyber security compliance activities.
  • Maintain technical and compliance documentation.
  • Assist with onboarding and offboarding users.
  • Help perform routine system health checks and reporting.
  • Escalate technical issues when required.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of processes and client services.

Requirements

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic student or early-career professional to join our team as a Part-Time Helpdesk & GRC Analyst.

This role is ideal for someone studying Cyber Security, Computing, Information Technology or a related subject who wants practical experience at the intersection of IT support, cyber security and governance, risk and compliance (GRC).

Working within Remson’s CyberCare+ service, you will support real client environments while developing hands-on skills in Microsoft 365, Cyber Essentials, compliance processes, documentation management and day-to-day IT support., Essential

  • Strong interest in IT and cyber security.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Good organisational and time management abilities.
  • A willingness to learn and develop new skills.
  • Ability to work independently while remaining part of a remote team.
  • Professional and customer-focused approach.

Desirable

  • Studying towards a degree in Cyber Security, Computing or a related subject.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft 365.
  • Familiarity with Cyber Essentials.
  • Understanding of networking fundamentals.
  • Experience using helpdesk or ticketing systems.
  • Fluent in Welsh
