Infrastructure Engineer/Monitoring SME

We are looking for an experienced Monitoring & Infrastructure Engineer with strong Microsoft SCOM expertise, solid Windows Server (Wintel) skills, and hands-on experience in hybrid on-premise and Azure environments.

The role focusses on supporting and enhancing enterprise monitoring and observability platforms, while also providing 3rd line infrastructure support across Windows, VMware, and Azure-based systems. The engineer will support BAU operations and project delivery within a large-scale enterprise environment., * Operate and improve monitoring platforms including SCOM, Azure Monitor, PRTG, and VMware Aria Operations

• Develop and tune alerts, dashboards, and service views to improve proactive monitoring and reduce noise.
• Build and maintain SCOM Management Packs and monitoring configurations
• Automate monitoring and health checks using PowerShell
• Provide 3rd line support for Windows Server and VMware environments
• Support Azure hybrid services, including Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Azure Arc
• Work with infrastructure, cloud, application, and security teams on service onboarding, incidents, and RCA
• Integrate monitoring tools with ITSM platforms (eg ServiceNow)

• Strong Windows Server administration and troubleshooting experience
• Hands-on experience with SCOM and enterprise monitoring tools
• Experience in hybrid cloud (on-prem + Azure) environments
• PowerShell Scripting for automation
• Knowledge of VMware, monitoring concepts, and ITIL processes
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
