Job description

We are a global leader in content delivery, cloud computing and security solutions that is looking for a field technician to perform onsite support for server and router maintenance inside our data centers.

Requirements

Maintenance consists of un-racking servers / routers and racking replacements, data / power cable wiring, reseating server components, replacing drives, troubleshooting fiber connections and diagnosing simple hardware issues.

No previous data center experience is necessary.

An ideal candidate should have basic computer diagnostic skills, be hard working, reliable, willingness to learn and be a team player, but still be able to work independently.

The candidate needs to have the ability to lift 65+ pounds and the ability to unbox and move equipment for several contiguous hours / days.

They will need to have a reliable car.

The job requires movement between 4 or 5 sites that may not have access to public transportation. We are looking for someone that wants to excel within the computer/internet industry.

Additional skills/experience (not required but please mention if you have these):

  • Experience working in a data center
  • Experience working with server hardware
  • Experience with intra building cross connects
  • Previous management experience is a plus!, * High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

  • Computer networking: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Data center: 1 year (Preferred)

Language:

  • English (Required), * High school or equivalent (Required)

Pay ranges from $38-$45 an hour depending on experience.
