Job description
- Execute fiber optic cable pulling and routing according to specific design schematics and standards.
- Perform porting and patching of fiber connections to ensure seamless network connectivity.
- Support the deployment and maintenance of cluster-based infrastructure within the data center.
- Document cabling infrastructure accurately and ensure all labeling meets project requirements.
- Participate in moves, adds, and changes (MACs) for hardware and cabling systems.
- Collaborate with project teams to meet deployment timelines and performance goals.
- Maintain a safe and secure operating environment by following all site security and safety protocols.
- Conduct general site inspections and reporting to ensure the health of data center power and cooling systems.
Requirements
- Previous professional experience working with fiber optic clusters.
- Proven proficiency in pulling and porting fiber optic cabling in a data center or telecom environment.
- Ability to work a rigorous schedule consisting of 10-hour days Monday through Friday and 8-hour shifts on Saturdays.
- Availability to complete a contract assignment concluding in November.
- Demonstrated ability to follow technical floor plans and cable schedules.
- Experience with high-density cabling and structured cabling best practices.
- Strong attention to detail regarding documentation and infrastructure labeling.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to stand and walk for the duration of a 10-hour shift.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Must be able to climb ladders and work at heights or in confined spaces.
- Manual dexterity required for repetitive cabling, termination, and handling of small components.
- Ability to bend, stoop, reach, and maneuver materials in place for extended periods.

Final compensation will be determined during the interview process by the hiring authority.
