Job description
The Engineering Change Coordinator manages the administrative and operational workflows of the manufacturing change control process. This role does not design or implement changes directly. Instead, you will act as the critical operational bridge, ensuring all Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) are accurately documented, impact assessments are complete, and subtasks are executed on time. You will also serve as the primary liaison between Manufacturing Engineers and Technicians to ensure smooth process transitions on the floor., * Documentation & Workflow: Author and initiate Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) and ensure all technical documentation is complete and compliant.
- Actions & Preventions: Track and manage corrective actions, preventive actions (CAPA), and open change tasks to prevent bottlenecks in production.
- Impact Assessments: Audit and verify that technical impact assessments are thoroughly completed by the appropriate team members before changes move forward.
- Task Management: Break down change orders into clear subtasks, assign them to responsible owners, and rigorously follow up to ensure on-time completion.
- Cross-Functional Liaison: Serve as the primary middle person between Manufacturing Engineers and Technicians to communicate updates, clarify procedures, and manage floor-level change processes.
Requirements
- Experience: 1-3 years in a manufacturing, production, or engineering environment, specifically dealing with change control, quality coordination, or document control.
- System Knowledge: Familiarity with PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) or ERP systems (e.g., Arena, Windchill, SAP) used for routing ECRs.
- Detail-Oriented: Exceptional organizational skills with a proven ability to track multiple moving parts, deadlines, and assigned subtasks.
- Communication: Strong interpersonal skills to effectively translate technical engineering requirements into actionable steps for shop floor technicians.
Benefits & conditions
$50 - $55 an hour - Contract
