Job description
We are seeking a dedicated Customer and Technical Support Specialist to join our dynamic team. This role is essential in providing exceptional support to our clients by resolving technical issues efficiently and ensuring a seamless user experience. The successful candidate will serve as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries, offering expert assistance across a broad range of hardware, software, and network-related concerns. - Diagnose and resolve hardware issues related to computer hardware, peripherals, mobile devices, and IT infrastructure components.
- Provide comprehensive troubleshooting for software problems, including operating systems like Windows, macOS, and Linux.
- Assist users with network-related issues such as TCP/IP configuration, DNS resolution, VPN connectivity, firewall settings, and LAN/WAN troubleshooting.
- Manage Active Directory accounts, including user account creation, permissions management, and GPO (Group Policy Object) application.
- Support desktop environments through software installation, updates, and hardware upgrades using tools like SCCM or BMC Remedy.
- Collaborate with network administration teams to resolve connectivity issues involving Cisco Meraki or other network equipment.
- Document incidents accurately in help desk ticket management systems such as ServiceNow or Jira.
- Conduct equipment troubleshooting and maintenance to ensure optimal performance of computers and related devices.
- Provide technical guidance on the use of operating systems and enterprise tools to end-users.
- Assist in the deployment of security measures such as firewalls and VPNs to safeguard organizational data.
- Participate in IT infrastructure projects involving Windows Server environments, DNS management, or Linux server administration.
- Communicate technical information clearly to non-technical users while maintaining professionalism.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a technical support or help desk role supporting Windows, macOS, and Linux operating systems.
- Strong knowledge of computer networking concepts including TCP/IP protocols, DNS configuration, VPN setup, firewall management, and LAN/WAN troubleshooting.
- Hands-on experience with Active Directory management and Group Policy administration.
- Familiarity with IT support tools such as SCCM, BMC Remedy, ServiceNow, Jira, and help desk ticketing systems.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot hardware issues involving computer hardware components and peripherals.
- Experience supporting mobile devices and enterprise applications within a corporate environment.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
- Knowledge of IT infrastructure components including servers (Windows Server), DNS services, DHCP configuration, and network security protocols.
