Job description
The role of the Product Manager is to define and communicate the technical product vision and strategy, aligning it with business goals. This role requires collaboration with stakeholders to develop and maintain the product roadmap while coordinating delivery across multiple Agile teams to ensure alignment with program objectives and release commitments. The Product Manager serves as a key liaison between business, technology, and delivery teams, facilitating dependency management, release planning, risk mitigation, and stakeholder communication. The role also involves monitoring product performance, overseeing the release process, and ensuring timely delivery of high-quality solutions in a fast-paced Agile environment.
· Product Development and Lifecycle Management:
o Help define and communicate the roadmap for services within your domain; ensure the roadmap supports company objectives, helps prioritize features and aligns with company priorities.
o Maintain capacity management plans for the team, ensuring roadmaps align with team capacity.
o Coordinate delivery commitments and dependencies across multiple Agile teams to support successful release execution.
· Product Strategy:
o Assist in developing a strategic technical roadmap.
o Analyze and define efficient, cost-effective solutions to support company objectives, departmental objectives, business processes, and functional requirements.
· Product Backlog:
o Maintain and manage the IT product backlog, ensuring it reflects the technical vision, stakeholder priorities, and business direction.
o Partner with development teams to align backlog priorities with release schedules, capacity, and business objectives.
· Collaboration and stakeholder leadership:
o Interact with business partners, enterprise project teams, and channel teams to understand their needs, priorities, and root causes of problems to ensure alignment between customer, business, and technology solutions.
o Coordinate cross-functional planning activities, including dependency management, release readiness, risk identification, and issue resolution across multiple teams.
o Facilitate Agile planning sessions, stakeholder reviews, roadmap alignment activities, and cross-team coordination meetings to ensure transparency, alignment, and successful delivery outcomes.
o Provide regular status reporting and communicate delivery progress, risks, and mitigation plans to leadership and stakeholders.
· Product Launch:
o Review and validate QA test plans; support the QA team during test execution
o Coordinate release planning, deployment readiness, and post-release activities to ensure successful product launches and minimal operational disruption.
o Partner with development, QA, DevOps, and business teams to ensure releases meet quality, performance, and business expectations.
· Data Analysis and guidance:
o Support KPI and success metric reporting as needed.
o Monitor and report on delivery metrics, release milestones, team capacity, risks, and dependencies to support informed decision-making and continuous improvement.
o Support investment evaluations, provide tradeoff analysis, and support prioritization discussions while driving continuous improvement in delivery processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- Computer Science, Engineering, or related field preferred
- 3+ years of product and project management experience in a technology environment
- Experience coordinating delivery across multiple Agile teams and managing cross-team dependencies
- Strong project and program management skills, including risk, issue, dependency, and stakeholder management
- Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive alignment without direct authority
- Knowledge of agile methodologies, tools, and techniques for specific products; ability to develop product line processes and strategies
- Solid knowledge of product and project management best practices, functional design, and application delivery methodology
- Strong planning & organizational skills
- Strong multi-tasker, proven experience handling multiple roles and projects simultaneously
- Excellent analysis, problem solving and decision-making skills
- Strong communication skills - verbal, written and presentation
- Attention to detail
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Visio
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
- Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
- Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
What will help you propel from the pack (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience working in a SAFe or Agile Release Train environment
- Experience facilitating Program Increment (PI) Planning, release planning, Scrum of Scrums, or similar Agile delivery events.
- PMP, PMI-ACP, CSM, SAFe Scrum Master, SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager, or related Agile certification
- 5+ years of product and project management experience in a technology environment
- Master’s degree
- Aviation industry knowledge
- Experience using Jira
- AWS Cloud & Dev Ops Knowledge
Benefits & conditions
The base pay range for this role is $112,480.00 to $146,540.00.
The base salary range/hourly rate listed is dependent on job-related, factors such as experience, education, and skills. This position is also eligible for bonus and/or long-term incentive compensation awards.
