Job description

Monarch Specialty Group is looking for an IT Director - Infrastructure to own our IT operations, security, and infrastructure end to end. This is a hands-on, player/coach role: you’ll be the person configuring the firewall and the person setting the technology roadmap. You’ll manage a Microsoft- and AWS-based environment that keeps our team productive and our B2B customers - including our brightscrip platform - running securely and reliably.

A core part of this role is owning IT’s side of our regulatory and compliance posture, including HITRUST, HIPAA, SOC, and NIST frameworks. If you enjoy both the technical depth of infrastructure work and the discipline of compliance ownership, this role is built for you.

About Monarch

We’re a technology company. We pioneer technology to make manufacturer-sponsored copay, Hub and related patient services simpler, smarter and more accessible.

What You’ll Do

Infrastructure & Support

  • Manage all IT office technology - networks, endpoints, mobile devices, printers, and video/conferencing equipment - and troubleshoot hardware/software issues as they arise
  • Administer Microsoft Intune, antivirus/antimalware, and endpoint security across company-owned assets
  • Own the full hardware asset lifecycle: procurement, deployment, maintenance, and retirement
  • Manage SaaS vendor relationships and continuously evaluate tools for efficiency and security
  • Lead IT onboarding and offboarding - equipment, access, training, and security awareness
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for IT support and vendor management, including ticketing-portal coverage Monday-Friday and weekend coverage for high-priority issues
  • Build and maintain a technology roadmap with annual updates

Compliance

  • Own Monarch’s IT-related policies, procedures, and controls aligned with HITRUST, HIPAA, SOC, NIST, and PCI frameworks
  • Lead documentation of security practices, primarily within the IT ticketing system
  • Develop and deliver security and compliance training to end users
  • Report compliance status, violations, and risk findings to leadership
  • Run periodic internal reviews and prepare documentation for external audits and third-party assessments
  • Partner with Legal and business leaders to embed compliance into day-to-day operations
  • Stay current on HITRUST and cybersecurity developments and adapt Monarch’s policies accordingly

Cloud Operations & DevOps (secondary)

  • Monitor backups and test disaster recovery / business continuity procedures
  • Manage cloud IAM, enforce security policies, and run vulnerability scans
  • Configure monitoring and alerting (e.g., Datadog, AWS CloudTrail/CloudWatch)
  • Support CI/CD pipeline management (GitHub) and standard deployment processes

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an IT manager or director in a highly secure small-business environment, using professional/enterprise-grade IT tools
  • Hands-on experience with computer networks, network administration, and installation
  • Cloud operations experience, with AWS strongly preferred
  • A solid cybersecurity background
  • Experience operating within regulatory/cybersecurity frameworks such as SOC, HITRUST, or NIST
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent cross-team communication skills
  • Comfort operating independently as both an individual contributor and a leader - this role has no team to delegate to on day one, * Do you have at least 1+ years experience in managing an IT operation within major regulatory and cybersecurity frameworks, such as SOC, HITRUST, NIST, etc.
  • Do you have 1+ years experience with Cloud operations and AWS?
  • Do you have hands-on experience with computer networks, network administration and network installation?

Language:

  • English (Required)
