Job description

This role supports ongoing operations across a modern, AWS-based portal platform and its environments, providing critical coverage for infrastructure support, environment maintenance, release support, and production troubleshooting. You’ll ensure the timely resolution of issues, the smooth execution of upgrades and migrations, and consistent alignment with teams across infrastructure, network, database, and security.

The position blends hands-on software engineering with platform, infrastructure, and operational ownership. You’ll support a cloud-based portal while helping maintain critical on-prem components, batch jobs, and shared services, partnering closely with development, production support, network, and infrastructure teams to keep the platform reliable, secure, and compliant. The ideal candidate understands cloud architecture, CI/CD, microservices, and microfrontends, and is comfortable navigating both code and infrastructure., * Execute and coordinate production releases-managing release processes, validating deployments, handling cutovers, and ensuring smooth execution. (This is the core focus of the role.)

  • Collaborate with network, infrastructure, and production support teams to resolve platform issues, plan migrations, and maintain system health.
  • Drive recurring operational tasks such as certificate renewals, infrastructure upgrades, patching, and environment maintenance across AWS and on-prem systems.
  • Lead PCI, vulnerability management, and remediation efforts in coordination with developers, security, and infrastructure teams.
  • Build a deep understanding of the platform’s architecture, microservices, microfrontends, and integration points to inform operational and engineering decisions.
  • Make code changes as needed to support infrastructure or compliance initiatives, including remediation and configuration updates.
  • Support cloud migrations, deprecations, and modernization efforts across AWS and on-prem workloads.
  • Ensure observability, logging, and monitoring are in place, and help drive improvements to system reliability.

Requirements

Work Authorization: Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship now or in the future. No sponsorship available., * Solid understanding of AWS services, cloud architecture, and on-prem infrastructure concepts.

  • Experience with Angular, Ionic, Spring Boot, REST services, and microservices, with the ability to read, debug, and contribute to code.
  • Familiarity with deployment workflows and release processes, including the ability to support production releases where CI/CD pipelines are managed by separate teams.
  • Knowledge of PCI, vulnerability management, patching, and secure development practices.
  • Experience supporting production environments, troubleshooting issues, and handling infrastructure tasks such as certificate renewals and upgrades.
  • Proven ability to work across engineering, production support, network, and infrastructure teams to drive shared outcomes.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills across distributed systems.
