Job description

The IT & Facilities Support Assistant is our go-to problem-solver for all things tech and building-related; from

a glitchy laptop to a leaky faucet to a storage closet in need of taming. This part-time role is perfect for a college

student who likes variety, learns fast, and enjoys figuring things out. No experience necessary - just curiosity

and a willingness to jump in.

  • See How We’re Raising the Bar, * Track and organize IT hardware inventory (laptops, monitors, cables, etc.)
  • Provide basic tech troubleshooting and support for staff
  • Assist with light building maintenance and repairs
  • Help coordinate and execute property improvement projects
  • Jump in wherever needed across IT and facilities - no two days look the same, In your role with Caring for Others, you’re responsible for upholding, executing, and supporting our mission.

Requirements

  • Comfortable with computers and general tech - no IT degree required, but great experience if you’re

working toward one

  • Handy, resourceful, and not afraid of a little manual work
  • Reliable, organized, and a strong communicator
  • Available 15-20 flexible hours per week around a school schedule
  • No prior experience necessary - we’ll teach you the rest, * Proactive, solution-oriented self-starter who takes initiative and works independently
  • Values innovation, efficiency, and streamlined processes
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Meticulous attention to detail, with accurate record-keeping and documentation
  • Strong project management skills - strategic, organized, and intuitive
  • Collaborative team player with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Results-driven, with proven time management skills and the ability to juggle multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Exercises sound judgment and discretion in handling sensitive matters
  • Tech-savvy and comfortable with a variety of software and devices
  • Warm, welcoming, and professional demeanor with a commitment to outstanding customer service
  • Strong commitment to compliance, including knowledge of HIPAA best practices for handling PHI
  • Administrative experience in a related specialty such as accounting, customer service, scheduling, billing, IT, project management, sales, marketing, business development, staffing, recruiting, care coordination, compliance, office or business management, human resources, or operations
  • Background in senior care, assisted living, skilled nursing, or in-home care
