The IT Senior Project Manager leads complex, cross-functional IT initiatives that support strategic business objectives and operational improvements. This role partners with IT leadership, business stakeholders, vendors, and technical teams to drive project delivery, improve governance, establish scalable PMO practices, and provide executive visibility into project portfolios. The position requires strong leadership, organizational change management, and the ability to translate business needs into actionable plans and measurable outcomes., We are seeking an experienced IT Senior Project Manager to lead strategic enterprise initiatives and drive operational excellence across the IT organization. This role combines project delivery, portfolio oversight, stakeholder engagement, and PMO process development to support business priorities and improve execution across multiple teams., * Lead multiple concurrent IT initiatives from intake through delivery, ensuring alignment with business objectives and strategic priorities
- Partner with executives, business leaders, technical teams, and vendors to define project goals, success criteria, and implementation plans
- Develop and maintain project plans, roadmaps, milestones, dependencies, budgets, and resource forecasts
- Facilitate project governance processes including status reporting, risk management, issue resolution, and executive communications
- Build relationships across business and IT teams to gather requirements, identify impacts, and drive stakeholder alignment
- Establish and improve project management standards, intake processes, prioritization models, reporting frameworks, and portfolio visibility
- Coordinate cross-functional teams involved in enterprise applications, infrastructure, cloud, IT operations, cybersecurity, and business transformation initiatives
- Monitor project health through KPIs, delivery metrics, and milestone tracking while proactively addressing risks and blockers
- Support organizational change initiatives through communication planning, stakeholder engagement, and adoption strategies
- Create executive-level presentations, dashboards, and portfolio reports that communicate progress, outcomes, and business value
- Facilitate workshops, planning sessions, project reviews, and lessons-learned activities to drive continuous improvement
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, Engineering, or related field
- 7+ years of experience managing enterprise IT projects, programs, or portfolios
- Strong experience leading cross-functional initiatives involving infrastructure, cloud, enterprise applications, cybersecurity, collaboration platforms, or digital transformation
- PMP, PgMP, Agile/Scrum certifications preferred
- Demonstrated experience implementing or improving project management and PMO practices
- Strong understanding of project governance, portfolio management, resource planning, risk management, and organizational change management
- Experience working with enterprise systems including ITSM platforms, Microsoft 365, collaboration tools, cloud technologies, and SaaS solutions
- Proficiency with project and portfolio management tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira, Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, or similar platforms
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to simplify complex issues for executive audiences
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with experience presenting to senior leadership
- Proven ability to influence without direct authority and drive alignment across multiple business functions
- Self-motivated professional capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment
