Job description

We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused IT Desktop Support Technician to join our team. This role involves providing technical support for hardware, software, and network issues, both onsite and remotely. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem-solver with excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently., Onsite Support

  • Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues on workstations, laptops, printers, and other peripherals.
  • Install, configure, and maintain desktop applications and operating systems.
  • Set up and troubleshoot network connections, including wired and wireless networks.
  • Perform hardware repairs or coordinate with external vendors when necessary.
  • Assist with equipment moves, new employee setups, and workstation optimization.

Remote Support

  • Provide remote technical support via phone, email, or remote desktop tools.
  • Troubleshoot software and connectivity issues for remote users.
  • Guide users through problem-solving steps and escalate complex issues as needed.
  • Ensure timely resolution of support tickets logged in the IT helpdesk system.

General Duties

  • Document technical procedures, issue resolutions, and FAQs for future reference.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory of IT equipment and software licenses.
  • Ensure compliance with IT policies, including security protocols and data protection.
  • Stay updated with emerging technologies and recommend improvements to current systems.
  • Be accountable for time and workload by accurately using the company’s ticketing and time-tracking systems.

Requirements

  • Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in IT desktop support or a similar role.

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in Windows and macOS operating systems.
  • Experience with remote support tools (e.g., TeamViewer, AnyDesk).
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 applications and troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with networking basics (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN).
  • Hands-on experience with hardware troubleshooting and repairs.

Soft Skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Patience and ability to explain technical issues to non-technical users.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and attention to detail.

Working Conditions

  • Hybrid work model, with onsite presence required for specific tasks and projects.
  • Require occasional travel client sites.
  • Ability to lift and move IT equipment weighing up to 50 pounds., * IT support : 2 years (Required)
