Job description

This role sits inside the intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance community in Mons, where geospatial data is not decoration. You will design, build and integrate data and services on the Esri platform, and keep the web tools that people make decisions with running properly.

What you will be doing

  • Designing, developing and integrating data and services within the Esri platform and neighbouring systems
  • Integrating diverse data arriving from complex and disparate pathways, and registering authoritative data in an Esri based portal
  • Performing complex data visualisation and analysis on an enterprise Esri estate
  • Maintaining user facing GIS web tools: dashboards, portals and viewers
  • Geospatial data selection, analysis and publication, including complex analysis services
  • Preparing and running workshops, capturing requirements and monitoring the system
  • On the job training for users, and support to multidisciplinary technical and operational teams
  • Proposing improvements, agreeing them with your supervisor, then implementing them

Requirements

  • A BSc or equivalent in a geospatial discipline
  • At least three years of deep Esri enterprise experience: ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Portal and its components, ArcGIS Server and advanced publishing
  • At least three years configuring and maintaining dashboards, viewers and story maps
  • Excellent vector data manipulation, and data management across a complex multi network, multi user environment
  • Experience automating GIS workflows, and working in a Microsoft environment with shared data access
  • The independence to plan and execute assigned tasks within programme goals, priorities and constraints
  • Strong English, and the ability to work alone and as part of a team
  • Basic Python scripting and international military and civilian environment experience are welcome
