Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated individual to join the Research & Development Directorate team as a Data Management Assistant for University Hospitals Dorset Trust.

The department is involved in a variety of research across numerous specialties. The role is working collaboratively with the clinical team to deliver hosted studies to ICH GCP standards. The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of clinical trials data management, playing a key role in the organisation, co-ordination and execution of all aspects of clinical research data management and administration, including maintaining site files and accurately entering data into case report forms and IT based systems. This role involves working in collaboration with patients, research teams, hospital departments, other NHS Trusts, commercial and academic partners. Requirements

Excellent attention to detail, ability to multitask and organise workload are essential skills for this post., * Basic computer literacy

  • Familiarity with a variety of web based platforms, * Familiarity with creating and using spreadsheets such as Microsoft Excel, * Previous experience of clinical trials work
  • Evidence of ability to undertake self directed learning

Interpersonal Skills, * Ability to work with a multidisciplinary team

  • Ability to communicate with all levels of service personnel, * Ability to work in a busy environment
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to multitask
  • Be able to speak English as necessary to undertake the role

About the company
