Job description

A well-established IT services provider is seeking an Onsite IT Support Engineer to provide 1 st and 2 nd line technical support for a key medium-sized client based in Central London. This is an Inside IR35 contract for 3-12 weeks and paying up to £185 per day.

The successful candidate will be responsible for hardware & software support, escalating as needed, as well as assisting with network, hardware, and software installations, configurations, and troubleshooting. The role will also involve maintaining detailed documentation of support requests, resolutions, and system configurations.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in 1st and 2nd line IT support, ideally within an MSP environment or on-site support setting
  • Strong technical skills, including Windows 11, MS 365 (Office, Exchange, Teams, OneDrive & SharePoint), Active Directory and Windows Server, iOS device support (iPhone / iPad / basic Mac), & networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, WiFi, VPN, DNS)
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to service delivery
  • First-class communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines under pressure
  • Ideal candidate will also have experience with Sage 50 and / or AV equipment
