Job description
Our Center for Digital Safety and Security is looking for new Ingenious Partner for our location in Vienna. In the Reliable Wireless Communication and Sensing research team, we develop energy efficient solutions for reliable wireless 5G/6G communication and sensing. We are enthusiastically researching unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) sensing methods using multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) antenna arrays that are controlled by an advanced software defined radio (SDR) testbed., * You will develop distributed MIMO signal processing algorithms for multi-static unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) sensing methods.
- The algorithms will be validated using numerical simulation and empirical measurement data obtained with the AIT SDR testbed operating within FR1 and FR3 from 0.4 - 20 GHz.
- You will engage in establishing a unique 6G distributed MIMO sensing testbed and antenna arrays based on software defined radio technology using open-source tools such as GNU Radio, RFNoC and LabVIEW for real-time FPGA algorithm design.
-
You will publish your research results in international journals and present them at conferences.
- You will learn how to evaluate the results and prepare them for further studies.
- You will accumulate experience in a research field, that has an enormous range of applications from construction, logistics, aviation and rail to agriculture, robotics and defense.
- You will gain experience in a group of international scientists and build up your professional network within European wide research projects.
