Photonic Design Engineer

• Design and simulate photonic components using tools like Lumerical.
• Develop PIC layouts in IPKISS, GdsFactory, or similar.
• Support internal PDK development and maintenance.
• Automate and script simulations with Python or similar languages.
• Collaborate with team members using Git for code management.
• Integrate photonic designs into system architectures.

• MSc in Photonics, Electrical Engineering, or related; PhD preferred. *

• 3+ years of photonics design experience, preferably in industry.
• Experince in Lumerical and PIC layout tools (eg. IPKISS, GdsFactory).
• Strong Python skills and experience with Git.
• Proficiency in English., * Experience with Lumerical API, PDK development, Silicon Nitride platforms, and quantum integrated photonics., * Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communicator and team player.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to high quality.
• Self-motivated, capable of managing multiple projects independently.
