Job description
If you’re looking for a Data Engineer role where you can shape a data platform from the ground up, this is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact. You’ll play a key role in building a modern data foundation, developing a new semantic data layer, and helping to enable future AI-driven capabilities within a growing SaaS environment. The Role You will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable data solutions that support business intelligence and analytics initiatives., * Building and maintaining end-to-end data pipelines and ETL processes
- Developing analytics-ready datasets and semantic data models
- Designing robust data architectures within Microsoft Azure
- Supporting the creation of a new semantic data layer for reporting and analytics
- Working closely with architects, analysts, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable solutions
- Improving data quality, performance, governance, and reliability across the platform
- Contributing to best practices, tooling decisions, and future data engineering standards
- Supporting the evolution of the wider data landscape and future AI initiatives
Requirements
- Strong commercial experience in Data Engineering
- Excellent SQL skills and experience working with large datasets
- Experience designing and maintaining ETL workflows
- Strong understanding of data modelling principles
- Exposure to Microsoft Azure and cloud-based data platforms
- Experience building scalable, production-grade data solutions
- Comfortable working in a collaborative, stakeholder-facing environment
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant quantitative or technical discipline
Desirable experience:
- ClickHouse
- dbt, DLT, Dagster, or similar modern data tooling
- Semantic modelling or semantic layer development
- SaaS environments
- Healthcare or regulated industry experience
- Dutch language skills, or an interest in learning Dutch
