You’ll focus on automation, reliability, and scalability-while we focus on investing in your growth.

As part of our Common Operations Release Environment (CORE) team, you’ll help ensure today is safe and tomorrow is smarter by supporting an Intelligence Community customer in a fast-paced, high-impact environment.

What You’ll Do

As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you’ll be a key contributor to designing, automating, and maintaining secure, scalable platform services across on-prem and cloud environments.

You will:

  • Automate the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of platform services
  • Architect, build, and support on-prem and cloud infrastructure
  • Maintain and enhance CI/CD pipelines to improve reliability and deployment speed
  • Administer production, staging, and development environments
  • Monitor system health, performance, and resource utilization
  • Manage centralized logging and monitor for security and system events
  • Improve system monitoring while ensuring compliance with security standards
  • Apply configuration management best practices (patching, hardening, documentation)
  • Enforce security and reliability best practices, including access controls and vulnerability testing
  • Partner with A&A and security teams to maintain authorization and compliance requirements
  • Participate in operational readiness reviews and present system readiness updates
  • Support Agile (SAFe/Scrum) development teams and ceremonies
  • Provide on-call support as required

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience with container platforms such as Kubernetes, Docker, or OpenShift
  • Strong understanding of DevOps principles and software development lifecycles
  • Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitLab or similar platforms
  • Knowledge of microservices architectures and best practices
  • Proficiency in Python, Bash, and Shell scripting
  • Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (load balancers, firewalls, infrastructure design)
  • Experience deploying and supporting on-prem infrastructure
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage priorities, work independently, and thrive in a fast-paced environment

Nice to Have

  • Experience deploying applications to Kubernetes environments using GitLab and Helm
  • Familiarity with access management and security services (IAM, S3, SSH, VPN, security groups)
  • Experience writing and using unit and functional tests
  • Experience with Jira and Confluence
  • Prior work in secured or mission-critical environments

Benefits & conditions

  • Compensation is unique to each candidate and relative to the skills and experience they bring to the position. The salary range for this position is typically $165-175k.
