Job description
- Install and configure dormakaba Ambiance Access Management Software on property workstations and servers
- Support and service legacy Saflok System 6000 installations, including migrations to Ambiance where applicable
- Install encoders, readers, and related peripherals; verify successful communication with locks
- Configure system security settings, user permission levels, guest registration defaults, and key management rules
- Work alongside our Lock Technicians to bring rooms, common areas, amenities, and elevators online
- Basic troubleshooting on Windows workstations, SQL-based databases, and network connectivity to property systems
On-Site Staff Training
- Deliver classroom-style training sessions for hotel front desk, housekeeping, security, and management staff
- Give a clear overview of Ambiance and, when applicable, System 6000 - how the system works, what each user role can do, and common workflows
- Walk staff through everyday tasks: issuing guest keys, re-encoding, handling lost keys, running reports, and managing staff credentials
- Answer questions, tailor training to each property’s workflow, and leave staff feeling confident running the system on day one
- Provide light post-training support and escalate complex issues to dormakaba technical support when needed
Requirements
Do you have a valid Driver’s License license?, Do you have experience in Windows?, * 1-3 years of IT, helpdesk, or software installation experience (Windows environments)
- Strong, professional verbal communication - you will be standing in front of hotel staff and occasionally hotel ownership
- Comfort leading classroom-style training or small-group walkthroughs
- Basic networking fundamentals (IP addressing, ports, Wi-Fi, connecting workstations to a server)
- Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and willingness to travel across multiple states with overnight stays
- Able to pass a background check and drug screening
- Professional appearance and demeanor - you are the face of Bryant Lock Installation and Dormakaba on property
Nice to Have (Not Required)
- Prior experience with dormakaba Ambiance, Saflok System 6000, or similar hotel lock/PMS systems
- Hospitality industry background (hotel operations, front desk, PMS systems, etc.)
- Experience with SQL Server or basic database troubleshooting
- IT certifications (CompTIA A+, Network+, or similar)
- Prior training, teaching, or customer-facing presentation experience
