  • Install and configure dormakaba Ambiance Access Management Software on property workstations and servers
  • Support and service legacy Saflok System 6000 installations, including migrations to Ambiance where applicable
  • Install encoders, readers, and related peripherals; verify successful communication with locks
  • Configure system security settings, user permission levels, guest registration defaults, and key management rules
  • Work alongside our Lock Technicians to bring rooms, common areas, amenities, and elevators online
  • Basic troubleshooting on Windows workstations, SQL-based databases, and network connectivity to property systems

On-Site Staff Training

  • Deliver classroom-style training sessions for hotel front desk, housekeeping, security, and management staff
  • Give a clear overview of Ambiance and, when applicable, System 6000 - how the system works, what each user role can do, and common workflows
  • Walk staff through everyday tasks: issuing guest keys, re-encoding, handling lost keys, running reports, and managing staff credentials
  • Answer questions, tailor training to each property’s workflow, and leave staff feeling confident running the system on day one
  • Provide light post-training support and escalate complex issues to dormakaba technical support when needed

Requirements

Do you have a valid Driver’s License license?, Do you have experience in Windows?, * 1-3 years of IT, helpdesk, or software installation experience (Windows environments)

  • Strong, professional verbal communication - you will be standing in front of hotel staff and occasionally hotel ownership
  • Comfort leading classroom-style training or small-group walkthroughs
  • Basic networking fundamentals (IP addressing, ports, Wi-Fi, connecting workstations to a server)
  • Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and willingness to travel across multiple states with overnight stays
  • Able to pass a background check and drug screening
  • Professional appearance and demeanor - you are the face of Bryant Lock Installation and Dormakaba on property

Nice to Have (Not Required)

  • Prior experience with dormakaba Ambiance, Saflok System 6000, or similar hotel lock/PMS systems
  • Hospitality industry background (hotel operations, front desk, PMS systems, etc.)
  • Experience with SQL Server or basic database troubleshooting
  • IT certifications (CompTIA A+, Network+, or similar)
  • Prior training, teaching, or customer-facing presentation experience

Benefits & conditions

  • $21/hour depending on experience, with room to grow
  • Company vehicle provided for travel to and from job sites
  • All tools and equipment supplied - laptops, programming cables, encoders, etc.
  • Travel expenses covered - lodging, per diem, and mileage all handled by us
  • Hands-on product training on dormakaba Ambiance, System 6000, and related hospitality hardware
  • Variety - You’ll see hotels and properties across the country and work on real installations, not just a ticket queue
  • Career path in a growing hospitality tech trade with long-term demand

Who Thrives in This Role

The best fit here is someone who is equally comfortable behind a laptop configuring software and in front of a room full of hotel employees explaining how to use it. You’re patient, clear, and professional when training people who aren’t technical. You enjoy travel, you like seeing the finished result of a clean install, and you take pride in leaving a property fully up and running.
