Job description
As Head of Ecommerce, you will report directly to the Directors and take full responsibility for the end-to-end Ecommerce trading strategy across both the B2B wholesale and D2C retail businesses. Your focus will be on driving revenue growth, profitability and exceptional customer experiences across multiple online channels.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Owning Ecommerce strategy and trading performance, with accountability for online revenue, commercial KPIs, campaigns, promotions and product launches across both brands.
- Driving conversion rate optimisation through A/B testing, checkout and landing page improvements, site performance enhancements and cart abandonment reduction initiatives.
- Collaborating with external SEO, paid media and CRM partners to align customer acquisition activity with revenue and conversion objectives.
- Developing retention and CRM strategies through Bloomreach to increase repeat purchases and customer lifetime value across both professional and consumer audiences.
- Leading Ecommerce analytics and reporting through Power BI, GA4 and GTM, transforming performance data into actionable commercial insights.
- Working closely with the Head of Technology and Shopify Plus development partners to deliver the Ecommerce platform roadmap and support future channel expansion.
- Building and leading a high-performing Ecommerce team as the business continues to scale.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will bring a strong blend of Ecommerce leadership, commercial acumen and digital trading expertise, including:
- A demonstrable background in Ecommerce, digital trading or online retail leadership roles.
- A proven track record of scaling high-growth B2B and/or D2C Ecommerce operations.
- Experience owning and growing multi-million-pound online revenue targets.
- Strong hands-on knowledge of Shopify Plus, ideally across both B2B and D2C environments.
- Expertise in conversion rate optimisation, A/B testing, customer journey optimisation and web analytics.
- Advanced analytical capabilities using tools such as GA4 and Power BI.
- The confidence to work closely with business founders in a fast-paced, growth-focused environment.
- Experience managing agencies and strategic partners.
- Exposure to international Ecommerce operations, including localised trading and multi-currency environments.
