Job description
We are looking for an experienced IT leader to oversee daily technology operations and guide infrastructure support for a global business environment in California. This long-term contract position will focus on strengthening operational reliability, maintaining secure and well-documented systems, and coordinating internal support resources alongside external service providers. The ideal candidate brings a hands-on management style, strong technical judgment, and the ability to balance strategic planning with responsive day-to-day execution., Direct daily IT operations across a global environment, ensuring effective support coverage for U.S.-based users and coordination with third-party technology partners. Maintain accurate records for core infrastructure, including system configurations, domains, licensing details, and other essential network assets. Evaluate and enhance cybersecurity practices by monitoring policy adherence, supporting audits, and reinforcing compliance standards across the organization. Oversee technology spending, track budget usage, and provide clear reporting on IT cost allocation and resource planning. Establish and manage incident response procedures, including practical checklists that improve readiness and speed of resolution during service disruptions. Lead backup administration and disaster recovery validation efforts to help ensure business continuity and system resilience. Recommend and implement improvements to business software, hardware, and technical processes to increase efficiency and reduce risk. Supervise desktop and network support activities, set service expectations, and review team performance against agreed service levels. Set priorities for the IT function, support team members’ growth and development, and foster productive relationships with business stakeholders and external vendors.
Requirements
Proven experience leading IT operations, infrastructure support, or enterprise technology teams in a managerial capacity. Strong working knowledge of Active Directory, configuration management, and core network administration principles. Hands-on experience with backup technologies, disaster recovery processes, and incident response planning. Familiarity with Cisco technologies, computer hardware, and end-user support in a business environment. Ability to manage vendors, coordinate cross-functional communication, and maintain effective external technology partnerships. Experience developing or enforcing IT security policies, compliance controls, and audit-related documentation. Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, prioritize competing technology needs, and align support activities with business goals.
