VB.NET Consultant

• Serve as a lead programmer and technical advisor for core business system developers.
• Troubleshoot complex database connection, storage, and server performance issues.
• Develop and deploy custom programming workarounds and secure software solutions.
• Lead project development teams on minor system enhancement and modernizing initiatives.
• Upgrade server infrastructure systems, storage networks, and core database software.
• Formulate robust recovery configurations and system backups to protect sensitive data.
• Guide development staff on corporate information security standards and best practices.

• 20 or more years of experience in VB.NET software design and application development.
• Proficiency in SQL database development and relational data structures.
• Experience with public sector tax administration platforms and state government revenue systems.
• Experience with GenTax enterprise software configurations and specialized processing modules.
• Experience in server infrastructure optimization, disaster recovery, and system backup management.
• Experience with executing platform upgrades, system migrations, and database patch installations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
