Job description

Responsible for architecture activities and decisions for a suite of related applications within the Payments domain. At least 20 years experience in information technology, with 2 years of financial services, and 15+ years of solution architecture experience

  • Significant experience defining the architectural vision and design for large, complex solutions, which align with the enterprise architecture strategy, technology and platform choices for the Payments domain.
  • The go-to expert on microservices architecture and cloud migrations in the Financial services industry.
  • Experience delivering microservices architectures for high throughput, low latency, zero downtime and zero data loss
  • Mentor teams in using Cloud-native design and Domain Driven Design
  • Establish and lead container design and deployment strategies
  • Key responsibilities include describing the solution intent/associated operating environment, evaluating system impacts and determining the primary systems/subsystems and their interfaces, assisting with end to end solution design where needed, defining non functional requirements/architectural runway to support new epics/features and expand into new opportunities.
  • Adept at ensuring a solution is fit for purpose by working with stakeholders, vendors/service providers, and evaluating the impact of strategic design decisions.
  • Expertise in best practices, standard templates, and architecture roadmaps and working with delivery teams to guide their adoption

Requirements

Do you have experience in UML diagrams?, * Deep experience with design governance, code and Architecture decision papers and past experience as a developer.

  • Expert at interpreting business needs and applying innovative technology solutions.
  • Proven track record mentoring junior team members and adept at collaborating with remote teams across time zones
  • Experience with SW development processes (Agile and Waterfall).
  • Ability to liaise with and advise Technology leadership and POs in all aspects of application design and development., * Deep understanding of DDD, distributed systems design, integration patterns, microservices architecture, Cloud native, UML.
  • Taking a product from inception through requirements, design, development, implementation readiness, and maintenance.
  • Demonstrable experience designing and building high throughput, low latency applications using microservices, containers, distributed databases, Kafka.
  • Proven ability to perform trade-off analysis between scalability, security, resiliency, availability in designing distributed systems by applying domain expertise, practical experiments and Proof of Concepts (POCs).
  • Ensure adherence to the architecture governance processes and compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
  • Technical leadership and exposure across a broad scale of tools, technologies, and architecture models.
  • Manage multiple development designs and projects concurrently to meet required timelines.
  • Experience with AWS, Azure , GCP or other CSP.
