Job description

The selected candidate will contribute to the buildout of a next-generation accounting platform within a Global Payment Orchestration ecosystem, supporting modernization, migration, and strategic payment initiatives., * Design, develop, and maintain scalable Java-based applications and microservices.

Lead technical design discussions and architecture decisions.
Build and enhance REST APIs and event-driven solutions using Kafka.
Develop cloud-ready and containerized applications utilizing OpenShift and container technologies.
Collaborate with product, architecture, and engineering teams to deliver strategic platform initiatives.
Mentor developers and provide technical leadership across projects.
Support modernization, migration, and platform transformation efforts.
Ensure code quality, performance, scalability, and reliability.

Requirements

Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Lead Java Developer with 10+ years of software development experience to support a large-scale Global Payments Platform modernization initiative. This role requires a strong balance of hands-on development (50%) and technical leadership (50%), making it ideal for candidates who enjoy both designing solutions and mentoring development teams., * 10+ years of software development experience

Strong expertise in Java Development
Experience with Spring Framework / Spring Boot
Container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, Containers)
Apache Kafka messaging and event-driven architectures
OpenShift
RESTful API design and development
Microservices architecture
Technical leadership, solution design, and mentoring experience
Experience leading development teams while remaining hands-on with coding

Preferred Skills

Payments industry experience (Payment Processing, Payments Technology, Financial Services, Banking, Merchant Services, Transaction Processing)
Cloud platform experience (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform) - highly preferred
Experience supporting platform modernization and migration initiatives
Accounting or financial systems experience
