Data and AI Specialist

The Data & AI Specialist role is responsible for supporting the Data & AI Leader of Agentic Tax Processes & Platforms in the design, architecting, and build of agentic tax workflows, underpinned by AI-ready data products and robust data engineering. This role sits at the intersection of:

• Tax domain understanding
• Data architecture and engineering
• Applied AI and agent orchestration, * Agentic Workflow & AI Design

• Design agentic workflows for tax processes, including: o Task-level agent responsibilities o Agent-to-agent communication patterns o Human-in-the-Loop and escalation models o Feedback loops and agent performance monitoring and evaluations

• Define reusable agent blueprints aligned to Lean-derived task definitions
• Apply leading edge agentic driven design and build methodologies (eg. use of Codex, Factory ai, GitHub Copilot)
• Data Architecture & AI-Ready Data Products

• Build AI-ready data marts that: o Expose tax data at the right grain o Maintain lineage and quality controls o Support deterministic and probabilistic reasoning

• Build data ingestion and transformation from: o ERP systems o Tax platforms o Semi-structured documents o External data sources

• Agent Governance & Security
• Build embedded agent and workflow governance and security: o Ensure compatibility and integration with client’s governance models and technology (eg. Microsoft Agent 365) o Design and embed real-time controls and risk monitoring

• 6+ years’ experience across data architecture, data engineering, and analytics including building SQL database, database designing and data modelling.
• Advanced certifications in AI, machine learning, cloud computing or data engineering are highly advantageous.
• Hands-on experience with modern data platforms and AI tooling such as Azure ML, Databricks, MLflow, LangChain, LangGraph.
• Strong grounding in:
• Data modelling
• Data governance and quality
• Large-scale data integration
• Hands-on experience applying AI/ML or advanced analytics in production environments.
• Proficient in programming or scripting languages: for instance, C++, Java, Python and key ML libraries (e.g. PyTorch, PySpark, scikit-learn, Hugging Face Transformers).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and unsatiable desire to learn and keep up with technology developments.
• Strong critical thinking and analytical mindset in terms of taking abstract and complex concepts and being able to structure and translate them into clear insights, requirements and solutions., * Bachelor’s degree in computer science engineering or equivalent work experience. Higher relevant education is preferred.
• Prior work in Tax Technology or Finance platforms.
• Experience with agentic AI concepts, orchestration, or workflow-driven automation.
• Exposure to cloud-based data platforms and modern AI stacks.
