Job description

We are seeking a Desktop Support Technician to join a growing IT team supporting enterprise infrastructure and end-user technology in Mt. Juliet, TN. This is a long-term contract opportunity with strong potential for conversion to a permanent role. The ideal candidate will have experience providing technical support, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and assisting with day-to-day IT operations in a corporate environment., * Provide desktop support and technical assistance for end users experiencing hardware, software, and connectivity issues

  • Troubleshoot and resolve Windows operating system, application, and workstation-related problems
  • Assist with infrastructure support activities and routine IT projects
  • Monitor systems and perform basic troubleshooting of network and infrastructure components
  • Escalate complex technical issues to senior IT staff when appropriate
  • Support hardware deployments, workstation setup, imaging, and device configuration
  • Maintain accurate documentation of support activities, procedures, and technical solutions
  • Collaborate with IT team members to ensure efficient delivery of technology services
  • Follow established IT standards, best practices, and operational procedures
  • Continuously develop technical knowledge and stay current with emerging technologies

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent work experience
  • 1+ year of experience in desktop support, technical support, help desk, or infrastructure support
  • Experience troubleshooting Windows operating systems, hardware, software, and peripheral devices
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Understanding of enterprise IT environments and infrastructure technologies
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment, * CompTIA A+ Certification
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals
  • Google Cloud Associate Certification
  • Additional IT certifications or technical training
  • Experience supporting enterprise desktop environments
