Job description
We are seeking an experienced Lead Salesforce Architect on behalf of our market-leading, enterprise-scale client. As the technical authority for a complex, multi-cloud Salesforce landscape, you will define, communicate, and implement architecture standards and strategic roadmaps to support core business priorities. This is the most senior architect position within the organisation, providing overall platform governance, technical leadership, and architectural direction across internal IT teams, delivery squads, external stakeholders, and a broader partner ecosystem.
Core Responsibilities
- Own and govern the overall Salesforce platform architecture, aligning platform capabilities with high-level business goals, establishing clear technical standards, and guiding delivery teams through complex problem-solving.
- Translate complex technical architectures and enterprise strategies into actionable, accessible roadmaps for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Maintain the structural integrity and coherence of all platform initiatives. Provide domain governance across internal engineering teams and external 3rd-party delivery partners.
- Design and govern enterprise-grade integration solutions. Define strict standards for system architecture, data security, resiliency, and observability while unifying design patterns across platforms.
- Drive high standards for technical quality across Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), data architecture, platform security, performance optimization, and DevOps. Proactively identify, prioritize, and remediate technical debt to ensure long-term platform health.
Target Technical Landscape The successful candidate will provide architectural governance and hands-on direction across an expansive enterprise footprint, including:
- Core & Service: Sales Cloud, Service Cloud (including Service Cloud Voice)
- Commerce & Fulfillment: Commerce Cloud (B2B / B2C / D2C), Salesforce Order Management (SOM)
- Data, AI & Engagement: Data Cloud, Agentforce, Marketing Cloud
Requirements
- Enterprise Track Record: Proven background as a Lead or Principal Salesforce Architect designing and delivering large-scale, multi-cloud enterprise solutions.
- Core Domain Expertise: Deep knowledge of Salesforce Core platforms (Sales & Service Cloud), with specific experience in contact center and customer service architectures.
- Enterprise Integration: Strong expertise designing complex system interfaces, high-throughput integration patterns, and resilient cross-platform data flows.
- Hands-On Technical Depth: Comprehensive understanding of platform mechanics-data modeling, sharing/security models, performance tuning, Apex, LWC, Flows, and declarative vs. programmatic best practices.
- Delivery & Governance: Solid background establishing DevOps, CI/CD, and SDLC governance frameworks, combined with exceptional stakeholder management capabilities.
Desirable
- Modern Platform Capabilities: Exposure to Salesforce Data Cloud, Agentforce, and AI-driven engagement architectures.
- Order Lifecycle & Commerce: Experience with Salesforce Order Management (SOM) and commerce-to-service integration patterns across B2B, B2C, or D2C.
- Marketing Integration: Familiarity with Marketing Cloud architecture, data synchronization, segmentation strategies, and journey execution.
- Certifications: Salesforce Certified Technical Architect (CTA) or System/Application Architect certifications, along with demonstrated experience leading legacy platform modernization.
