Job description
A Cloud Engineer (AWS) designs, builds, and operates cloud infrastructure for the HPS platform. The role emphasizes Infrastructure as Code, secure and governed deployment pipelines, and resilient architecture patterns (e.g., blue/green deployments, progressive traffic shifting, multi-region failover). This individual will partner with application, security, and operations teams to deliver scalable, compliant, and highly available cloud solutions. Key Responsibilities Design, build, and maintain AWS infrastructure using Terraform (IaC) Develop and support secure CI/CD pipelines with validation, scanning, and approval gates Implement cloud architecture patterns including high availability, failover, and multi-region designs Support platform standardization and governance, ensuring auditability and repeatable deployments Collaborate with application teams to onboard and migrate workloads to cloud infrastructure Monitor and optimize cloud resources for performance, cost, and reliability Implement and support security controls, including vulnerability remediation and compliance requirements Troubleshoot platform and deployment issues across environments (Dev, SIT, Prod) Maintain documentation, runbooks, and deployment standards to support consistent execution Participate in release activities and ensure safe, controlled deployments
Requirements
A hands-on Cloud Engineer with deep AWS expertise and strong Terraform/IaC skills, experienced in building secure, scalable cloud infrastructure and working within regulated environments. Candidate should be comfortable with DevOps practices, security controls, and cross-team collaboration. Strong hands-on experience with AWS services (e.g., VPC, EC2, ECS/EKS, IAM, Route 53, S3, RDS, CloudWatch) Proven experience with Terraform, including module development, state management, and debugging Experience with CI/CD pipelines including build, scan, approval, and deployment workflows Experience with cloud security practices, vulnerability remediation, and compliance controls Understanding of networking, load balancing, and application connectivity in AWS environments Experience working across multi-environment deployments (Dev, Test, Prod) Strong troubleshooting skills across infrastructure and application deployment layers Ability to work in Agile delivery models and manage concurrent priorities Excellent communication skills with ability to work across engineering and leadership teams Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. Experience with containerized platforms and image management (Docker, ECS/EKS) Experience with security scanning tools and vulnerability management processes Exposure to blue/green deployments, progressive routing, or traffic shifting strategies Experience working in regulated environments (financial services, healthcare, etc.) Familiarity with Java/Ruby/.NET application environments and middleware integration Experience with automation and scripting (Python, Bash) Knowledge of multi-region and disaster recovery architectures, + $78.23 per hour Looking for an engineer - Experience with AWS (Amazon Web Services) & Microsoft Azure Position type: Contract to Hire Duration: 6+ Months MUST have skills AI/ML knowledge (2-3 y…
