Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled Outage Management System (OMS) Consultant to join our dynamic team dedicated to enhancing operational reliability and efficiency within the energy or manufacturing sector. In this role, you will be responsible for implementing, optimizing, and maintaining outage management systems that facilitate effective response and resolution of system outages. The ideal candidate will possess extensive technical expertise, strong management capabilities, and a comprehensive understanding of industrial maintenance, electrical systems, and facilities management. This position offers an opportunity to lead critical projects, supervise technical teams, and contribute to the seamless operation of complex infrastructure., * Lead the deployment and configuration of outage management systems, ensuring alignment with organizational requirements and industry standards.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop schematics, wiring diagrams, and system documentation for electrical and mechanical components.
  • Oversee the integration of programmable logic controllers (PLCs), Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems, and Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
  • Supervise maintenance activities related to high voltage and low voltage electrical systems, HVAC units, and industrial facilities.
  • Manage projects related to system upgrades, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance schedules.
  • Utilize diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters to assess electrical integrity and mechanical components.
  • Provide leadership in supervising technical staff during outage response, ensuring safety protocols are followed.
  • Develop training programs for staff on system operation, schematics interpretation, and maintenance procedures.
  • Monitor system performance metrics to identify areas for process improvement and increased reliability.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, electrical codes, and industry regulations across all maintenance activities.

Requirements

  • Proven management experience with a strong background in supervising technical teams within industrial or manufacturing environments.
  • Extensive knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics interpretation, and electrical troubleshooting.
  • Proficiency with CMMS platforms for tracking maintenance activities and asset management.
  • Solid understanding of HVAC systems, facilities management principles, and mechanical systems maintenance.
  • Fluency in English with excellent communication skills for cross-team collaboration.
  • Demonstrated project management capabilities with experience overseeing complex outage or maintenance projects.
  • Mechanical knowledge combined with electrical experience related to high voltage and low voltage systems.
  • Familiarity with industrial safety standards, schematics reading, and diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters.
  • Leadership qualities that foster team development while ensuring operational excellence.
  • Experience in manufacturing or industrial settings with a focus on continuous improvement initiatives.
