Job description
· Serve as the subject-matter expert for Outage Management System (OMS) capabilities within the AspenTech OSI ADMS platform, including outage detection, prediction, restoration, and reporting workflows.
· Lead configuration, testing, and enhancement of OMS functions such as crew management, customer calls integration, outage cause analysis, ETR calculation, and outage lifecycle management.
· Work directly with control center operators, dispatchers, and field crews to align OMS workflows with established utility outage response procedures and regulatory requirements.
· Support integration of OMS with CIS, AMI, GIS, SCADA, and other enterprise systems needed for accurate outage analysis prediction and customer impact analysis.
· Knowledge of ICCP/DMAMulti-speak communication, including Block 5 control model behavior, and how ADMS/OMS exchanges data and control signals with transmission systems, EMS platforms, and neighboring control entities.
· Validate network model readiness and ensure accurate connectivity, device statuses, and operational attributes used in outage determination and restoration modeling.
· Conduct system testing, scenario validation, and troubleshooting across development, test, and production environments for OMS features and related ADMS applications.
· Provide operator training, workflow guidance, and go-live support to ensure effective adoption and consistent use of OMS capabilities during both normal operations and major event response.
Requirements
· Minimum of 5 years of utility operations, outage management, or distribution control center experience, with strong understanding of outage processes and field restoration practices.
