Job description

OpenKyber has a client in Juno Beach, FL that is seeking a GEP Smart Product Support Engineer who will support the Source to Pay Transformation Program, providing project delivery and extended Hypercare across all NextEra Energy Business Units., * Production Support & Issue Resolution: Triage and resolve GEP Smart production incidents across Materials and Services Procurement (e.g., Service POs, Service Confirmations, Vendor Catalogs, approval workflows, user access)

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot end to end cross system transaction failures across SAP PO and GEP Click middleware
  • Coordinate with SAP functional teams when GEP-originated transactions fail to post in SAP for invoicing or financial reconciliation
  • Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM): Support contract creation, approvals, amendments, and renewals within GEP CLM
  • Assist with migration and conversion of legacy contracts from SAP SRM into GEP, ensuring data integrity, accurate field mapping, and smooth business continuity
  • Master Data & Integrations: Monitor and support master data synchronization between GEP and SAP across suppliers, materials/services, cost centers, and purchasing org structures
  • Troubleshoot sync issues causing downstream procurement or invoicing errors
  • Continuous Improvement: Apply lessons learned to identify recurring issues and implement preventative measures
  • Support Business Unit-specific tenant configurations (approval hierarchies, templates, roles, permissions), * Proven experience supporting GEP in a hybrid procurement landscape with strong understanding of document flows and system of record boundaries
  • Experience with GEP Click and familiarity with SAP Process Orchestration (SAP PO), with the ability to trace and troubleshoot end to end transaction failures
  • Strong understanding of Service PO and Service Confirmation workflows in GEP and their integration into SAP for invoice posting/financial reconciliation
  • Experience supporting master data interfaces (suppliers, materials/services, org structures) between GEP and SAP
  • Proficiency in ticketing/backlog tools such as Jira or ServiceNow

This role requires deep expertise in a dual system procurement environment, where:

  • Inventoried Materials procurement is executed in SAP S/4HANA
  • Indirect Materials and all Services procurement are executed in GEP Smart
  • Documents, master data, and financial transactions flow bidirectionally between systems via SAP Process Orchestration (SAP PO) and GEP Click
  • SAP remains the system of record for all financial data, including invoices

Requirements

  • 3-5+ years of hands on GEP Smart experience across Materials Procurement, Services Procurement, Source to Contract, and Spend Analytics, * Experience in the utility or energy industry
  • Experience working in Agile/SAFe delivery environments
