Machine Learning & NLP Scientist - Biomedical AI Research

• Develop machine learning and NLP algorithms for biomedical applications.
• Design automated biomedical literature mining pipelines.
• Build and manage structured biomedical datasets.
• Develop predictive AI models.
• Evaluate model performance using modern machine learning techniques.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary scientists and software developers.
• Contribute to scientific publications and future grant applications.

• M.S. or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Biomedical Informatics, Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or a related field.
• Strong Python programming skills.
• Experience with machine learning and deep learning.
• Experience with transformer models and modern NLP frameworks.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with biomedical text mining.
• Experience with biomedical databases.
• Experience with cloud computing.
• Experience with Git and collaborative software development.
• Interest in biomedical AI and translational research.

Position Information

• Full-time.
• Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
• Regular in-person collaboration required.
• This is not a remote position.
• Applicants should currently reside in the Milwaukee metropolitan area or be willing to relocate before employment begins.

Experience:

• Cell biology: 1 year (Preferred)
