Job description

Join our dynamic team at Siemens Gamesa, where you will play a crucial role in ensuring the optimal operation of our Gamesa turbine models, including G4X, G5X, G8X, G9X, G10X, and SG2X. Imagine managing a variety of technical projects while collaborating with stakeholders across the organization, all while exercising your full design authority. You will leverage your holistic understanding of the product lifecycle to make strategic decisions that enhance the profitability of our platforms. Dive into the dual focus of Fleet Support & Performance Analysis and Control Strategy Development & Enhancement, where you will diagnose fleet issues, analyze performance data, and develop improvements to control algorithms that boost efficiency and reliability.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • You will diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve complex control system issues for Gamesa wind turbine models.
  • Analyze operational data from SCADA systems to perform root cause analysis of failures and performance deviations.
  • Provide expert technical support to field service teams and customers regarding control strategy implementation.
  • Conduct systematic investigations into recurring technical problems and document findings for our engineering knowledge base.
  • Develop, test, and deploy software modifications for existing wind turbine control systems to enhance aftermarket activities.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
  • Proficiency in C1 Spanish and Advanced English.
  • Typically, 2-5 years of professional experience in control systems or software development, preferably in the wind energy sector.
  • Strong skills in data analysis and modeling tools such as MATLAB, along with experience in C/C++ programming (Visual Studio).
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
