Job description

I am supporting a true 0*1 team building a real-money prediction and trading platform. The kind of product where sports, culture, and markets collide. They’re not just building a place to trade; we’re building a destination people come back to for the story behind the market, competing head-on with the likes of Polymarket and Kalshi not just as a trading venue but as a source of news and insight in its own right.

Every sprint reshapes the product based on what they’re learning from real users, and the engineers who join now will define how this platform looks for years to come.

The role:

This is a frontend-leaning full-stack position (roughly 70-80% of your time on the web experience) with the rest contributing to the backend services that power it.

You’ll be:

  • Leading design, development, and deployment of high-quality, high-craft web experiences in React, Next.js, and TypeScript
  • Owning features end-to-end
  • Working shoulder-to-shoulder with design + other BE leaning Engineers (all Full-Stack)
  • Contributing to backend platform services when needed (your engineering instincts are important over which specific backend language you’ve used) - They work with Go
  • Establishing and living the standards for a team that’s genuinely AI-native, not AI-adjacent

What’s important:

  • They want engineers who are meticulous about what they put on the page and people who’ve taken a UI from nothing to something used at real scale.
  • Their toughest bar isn’t the technical interview, it’s whether you can operate cross-functionally. They want engineers who talk about people first, own outcomes, influence rather than just implement, and make pragmatic calls with incomplete information. If your instinct in a cross-functional conversation is to dive into implementation detail, this probably isn’t the role.
  • They don’t care which backend language you’ve used. Go, Node.js/TypeScript, Java, Python… if you’ve got production experience in any of them, or genuinely have the appetite to ramp up quickly on something new, that’s enough. We’re deliberately not building an all-one-language team.
  • That you are a big AI advocate and actively shipping production code faster with tools like Claude Code, Cursor, or Copilot, and able to talk specifically about how it’s changed the way you work - This is very important and will come up in the interview.

Requirements

  • Strong, genuine production experience in React/Next.js/TypeScript, building B2C, consumer-facing web products
  • Experience contributing to backend services in any modern stack
  • Real examples of using AI tools to accelerate your own delivery (not just building AI features as a product)
  • Experience leading or shaping work that cuts across teams, functions, or stakeholders
  • Genuine curiosity about prediction markets, trading products, or fast-moving consumer platforms (bonus points if you’ve already poked around the space before we’ve even spoken)
  • Experience in on a 0*1 build where the roadmap moves in five-week cycles and your fingerprints will be all over the product

Benefits & conditions

  • Fully remote, UK-based (right to work in the UK required - we’re unable to sponsor visas for this role)
  • Live coding/pairing stage as part of the process (In any language) which is fundamentals-focused, AI tools not used in that specific exercise
  • Competitive salary, dependent on level (Engineer III through Senior) + Bonus + Stock options + Unlimited Holiday + More
