Software Developer

• Develop complex requirements, enhance, modify, and/or maintain applications in the Financial Crimes technology space
• Design, code, test, debug, and document programs and support application maintenance
• Work closely with business partners in defining requirements for system applications
• Contribute to story refinement/defining requirements and estimate work necessary for delivery
• Perform proof of concepts as necessary to mitigate risk or implement new ideas
• Set up and automate continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines
• Handle technical aspects of the application, including Change Management, Maintenance, and Platform Upgrades
• Work with a team of Data Analysts and Developers to ensure best practices and governance are followed
• Analyze present-state, develop alternative future-state approaches, and facilitate implementation
• Effectively communicate with managers, peers, and business partners on deliverables and timelines

• Typically requires 10 years of applicable experience
• BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or any quantitative discipline
• Experience in Teradata 16.x, SQL/BTEQ scripting, and TPT
• Experience with Informatica 10.x and UNIX Shell scripting
• Experience with Autosys, Cloudera CDP, and Hadoop (Hive, Impala, PySpark, Scala)
• Strong data analysis, data sourcing, data modeling, and provisioning skills for large scale AML data assets
• Experience with database-intensive development, data migrations, conversions, and SQL performance tuning
• Experience in SDLC, Agile, Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) using tools like Jira, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Artifactory, and Ansible
• Strong knowledge of Unix and development of shell scripts
• Effective communication and listening skills

Desired skills:

• Business knowledge in financial domains related to Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Financial Crimes
