Job description

The Technical Solution Architect will provide technical leadership for a large-scale eProcurement transformation initiative. This role focuses on building a modern, people-centered, AI-enabled procurement ecosystem that integrates configurable platforms, custom capabilities, and modern engineering practices., * Solution Architecture: Shape and maintain architecture across applications, integration, data, security, reporting, analytics, and cloud.

  • Translation of Needs: Convert business outcomes and user needs into practical technical guidance and implementation decisions.
  • Alignment: Ensure architectures align with business vision, user experience, and scalability requirements.
  • Collaboration: Work with product managers, experience architects, and vendors to adapt strategies and roadmaps.
  • Vendor Review: Evaluate vendor designs for feasibility, security, accessibility, and alignment with outcomes.
  • Integration: Guide planning with legacy systems, accounting/financial systems, IAM, reporting platforms, etc.
  • Migration: Support data mapping, cleansing, transformation, document migration, and cutover planning.
  • AI & Automation: Assess AI-enabled, automation, and analytics tools for compliance and value.
  • Documentation: Promote architecture decision records, peer review, automated testing, and security-by-design.
  • Risk Management: Support phased release planning, identify dependencies, risks, and opportunities for incremental delivery.

Requirements

  • 8+ years in IT delivery, systems implementation, or enterprise technology.
  • 5+ years as a solution architect, enterprise architect, or technical lead.
  • Experience with agile, iterative, people-centered product development.
  • Strong background in cloud enterprise applications, APIs, integration, data migration, and security.
  • Proven ability to review vendor deliverables for feasibility, quality, and alignment.
  • Experience using or evaluating generative AI/AI-assisted tools.
  • Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with public-sector procurement, ERP, financial, or workflow-heavy platforms.
  • Background in modernizing legacy systems to cloud/modular platforms.
  • Knowledge of data governance, analytics, and migration practices.
  • Familiarity with FedRAMP, NIST, accessibility, privacy, and public-sector governance.
  • Experience with phased rollouts, automated testing, and operational readiness.
  • Ability to design systems serving multiple user communities.
  • Constructive approach to challenging conventional methods.
