Job description

Title Graduate Assistant - Information Technology, Integrated Technology Solutions Position Description The Graduate Assistant (GA) will work 20 hours per week and receive up to 24 credits of tuition and student fee waivers: 9 for fall, 9 for spring and 6 for summer.

Overview Information Technology Solutions focus is the technology in the classrooms and meeting spaces on campus and at satellite campuses. It is extremely important that all classrooms and meeting spaces are upgraded with new technology, support existing classroom and meeting space technology. The continual maintenance of the digital signage platform and provide support and training to constituents. This merges into the importance of staying abreast of new technologies.

Duties

  • Assist students, faculty, staff , and community members with technology equipment.
  • Create and maintain classroom instructional documentation.
  • Assist staff with maintaining information in the technology knowledgebase.
  • Monitor and research open problems in ticketing system.
  • Accept, research, resolve, and close tickets.
  • Work on special projects as assigned.
  • Assist with classroom emergencies.
  • Assist in high profile events for technology needs.

Requirements

  • Strong Customer Service skills
  • Good working knowledge of audio-visual equipment
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft products especially Office 365
  • Good working knowledge of computers
  • Ability to work with customers to resolve technology equipment
  • Good writing skills
  • Ability to communicate well (verbal and written)
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Flexible schedule to work alternate hours as requested, * Ability to lift 35 pounds and climb a ladder
