Job description

The Analytics Developer III - A&I Enterprise Product Operations Office is a senior analytics professional responsible for designing, developing, and supporting enterprise analytics solutions that improve operational performance, customer experience, and business outcomes across the Analytics & Intelligence (A&I) portfolio.

This role combines hands-on analytics development with product operations, process improvement, and change management to deliver scalable data solutions that support strategic initiatives. The position works closely with product managers, business leaders, and technical teams to translate complex business needs into actionable analytics, reporting, and operational solutions.

The ideal candidate is a critical thinker with strong technical expertise who enjoys solving complex business problems through data, technology, and process improvement. Success in this role requires the ability to evaluate challenges, recommend practical solutions, drive organizational change, and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

This position operates independently while partnering across Baylor Scott & White Health with executive leadership, Digital Technology Services, Security, Compliance, Product Management, and operational teams to improve analytics products, operational processes, and organizational effectiveness.

Experience in healthcare analytics, healthcare informatics, product operations, business systems analysis, AI-enabled process improvement, or operational transformation is highly preferred., * Gather, analyze, and document business and technical requirements while translating them into scalable analytics solutions, workflows, and technical specifications.

  • Design, develop, test, validate, and maintain complex reports, dashboards, scorecards, and data visualizations using enterprise analytics tools.
  • Extract, transform, analyze, and interpret data from multiple sources to deliver meaningful insights that improve clinical and operational performance.
  • Apply critical thinking and technical expertise to solve complex business problems and identify opportunities for automation, operational improvement, and process optimization.
  • Develop operational metrics, portfolio performance indicators, monitoring solutions, and reporting that support informed decision-making.
  • Maintain product lifecycle documentation, including onboarding, maintenance, ownership changes, and retirement activities while partnering with Product Managers to ensure product information remains accurate and current.
  • Evaluate existing business processes and recommend improvements that increase efficiency, scalability, and user adoption.
  • Support organizational change initiatives by developing communication plans, training materials, operational documentation, and adoption strategies for new processes and technologies.
  • Perform testing, quality assurance, validation, and operational readiness activities to ensure reliable analytics products and reporting solutions.
  • Translate complex analytical findings into clear, actionable recommendations for executives, operational leaders, and clinical stakeholders.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies, AI capabilities, and automation opportunities that improve analytics delivery and operational effectiveness.
  • Build collaborative relationships across Analytics & Intelligence, Digital Technology Services, Security, Compliance, and business departments while mentoring junior team members., * Knowledge of ETL processes, data warehousing, data modeling, and enterprise reporting environments.
  • Experience working with complex datasets while ensuring data quality, consistency, and accuracy.

Product Operations & Change Management

  • Experience supporting product operations, business process improvement, operational excellence, and organizational change management.
  • Ability to evaluate existing workflows, improve operational processes, and successfully implement new technologies and business practices.
  • Experience developing communication, training, and adoption strategies that support successful organizational change.

Agile Delivery

  • Working knowledge of Agile, Scrum, Kanban, Lean methodologies, Azure DevOps, and project planning frameworks.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams throughout project delivery and implementation.

AI & Emerging Technologies

Requirements

  • Advanced analytical, troubleshooting, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Strong SQL proficiency and experience with enterprise BI platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, Cognos, SSRS, or similar technologies.
  • Experience designing dashboards, reports, KPIs, and executive reporting solutions.

Technical Problem Solving

  • Demonstrated ability to think critically, analyze complex business and technical challenges, identify root causes, and develop practical, scalable solutions.
  • Strong technical aptitude with the ability to balance business priorities and technology capabilities while making data-driven recommendations., * Understanding of Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), Generative AI, intelligent automation, and emerging technologies with the ability to identify opportunities that improve operational efficiency and business performance., * Excellent consulting, communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to explain complex technical concepts in business terms and influence decisions across technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across multidisciplinary teams., * Microsoft 365 (Teams, SharePoint, Lists, Forms, Planner, Copilot)
  • Azure DevOps (ADO)
  • ServiceNow
  • SQL-based reporting environments
  • Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), * Knowledge of healthcare informatics, healthcare analytics, and technology-enabled operational transformation is preferred., Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Statistics, Business, Healthcare Administration, Informatics, Analytics, Engineering, or a related field, or four (4) years of additional relevant work experience in lieu of the degree. Master’s degree preferred., Five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in analytics, product operations, business systems analysis, healthcare informatics, consulting, information systems, or related disciplines. Experience supporting enterprise analytics initiatives, operational transformation, AI-enabled process improvement, or technology implementation is preferred., * EDUCATION - Bachelor’s or 4 years of work experience above the minimum qualification
