Job description
We are seeking an experienced Solution Architect to serve as the technical authority for the ARES production program. This role is responsible for defining and enforcing architectural standards across multiple Agile development teams, ensuring technical solutions align with OpsEA Salesforce Government Cloud Plus Defense platform capabilities and constraints. The Solution Architect will provide technical leadership, oversee cross-team dependencies, govern architectural decisions, maintain enterprise-level documentation, and support secure, scalable, and mission-focused solution delivery. This is a hands-on leadership position requiring active involvement in sprint planning, architecture reviews, development guidance, and complex problem resolution., * Define and maintain architectural standards, design principles, naming conventions, metadata organization standards, and platform governance practices across all development teams.
- Lead technical architecture reviews and provide guidance on solution design, platform capabilities, and development best practices.
- Manage and coordinate cross-team dependencies, ensuring proper planning, sequencing, and alignment of technical deliverables.
- Establish and maintain team working agreements and technical governance processes across development teams.
- Review and approve architectural decisions while resolving technical challenges and implementation blockers.
- Own and maintain enterprise technical documentation, including solution architectures, system diagrams, DevSecOps documentation, data models, sequence diagrams, and data dictionaries.
- Govern source control, branching strategies, merge cadence, and conflict resolution processes for concurrent development efforts.
- Partner with the Data Architect to ensure data model consistency, scalability, and alignment with business requirements.
- Support RMF and ATO compliance activities by providing architecture documentation and technical artifacts required for security assessments.
- Collaborate with Product Owners, Developers, Security Engineers, DevSecOps teams, and Government stakeholders to ensure successful solution delivery.
- Drive platform-native design approaches that maximize Salesforce capabilities while minimizing technical debt and customization complexity.
Requirements
- Eligibility to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum 5+ years of Salesforce Solution Architect experience, preferably supporting federal government or public sector programs.
- Expert-level knowledge of the OpsEA Salesforce platform and associated technologies, including Platform Sharing Framework (PSF), Shield, Business Rules Engine (BRE), CRM Analytics, Flows, Apex, Permission Set Groups (PSGs), and Organizational-Wide Defaults (OWD).
- Experience with Flosum or comparable Salesforce CI/CD and source control solutions.
- Experience serving as a technical lead or architect across multiple concurrent Agile development teams.
- Strong understanding of enterprise architecture principles, Salesforce platform governance, integration architectures, and application lifecycle management.
- Experience creating and maintaining architecture documentation and technical standards.
- Strong leadership, facilitation, negotiation, and executive-level communication skills.
- Salesforce Certified Technical Architect (CTA) or Salesforce Application Architect certification.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications:
- Active U.S. Government Secret or TS/SCI security clearance.
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience deploying and supporting solutions within Salesforce Government Cloud Plus (IL4 or IL5 environments).
- Understanding of FedRAMP High authorization requirements and compliance frameworks.
- Familiarity with NIST SP 800 security controls and Salesforce control inheritance models.
- Salesforce Certified Development Lifecycle and Deployment Architect certification.
- Experience supporting Department of Defense (DoD) or Department of the Air Force (DAF) programs.
- Knowledge of secure architecture design, DevSecOps practices, and cloud-based government solutions.
- Experience supporting highly regulated, mission-critical enterprise applications.
