Job description

We are seeking an experienced Design Technology Manager to lead digital delivery initiatives and support project teams across a broad range of disciplines.

The Design Technology Manager will provide technical and operational leadership for CADD production, oversee the implementation of standards, support project delivery teams, and drive continuous improvement in design technology practices. This role partners with engineering, architecture, project management, and IT stakeholders to ensure high-quality, efficient, and consistent project execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage the overall CADD strategy and digital delivery processes.

  • Create and implement project execution plans.

  • Lead the development, implementation, and enforcement of CADD standards and workflows.

  • Facilitate meetings, including CADD kickoff meetings, training workshops, and stakeholder coordination sessions.

  • Deliver CADD training and provide ongoing technical support to project teams.

  • Manage CADD content libraries, templates, point cloud data, and design files.

  • Develop scripts and automation tools to improve workflows and increase efficiency.

  • Audit CADD files for accuracy, consistency, and compliance with project requirements and industry standards.

  • Serve as a technical resource for resolving complex design and production challenges.

Requirements

  • Associates degree in Engineering Technology, Design, Architecture, or related discipline. Bachelor’s degree preferred.

  • 10+ years of Senior level CADD experience, including experience leading teams.

  • Advanced proficiency in Civil 3D, with familiarity in other digital coordination tools.

  • Proven ability to lead CADD/BIM teams, manage digital deliverables, and drive innovation across large-scale transportation projects.

  • Experience managing client deliverables and expectations.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distill complex concepts quickly, clearly, and concisely for diverse audiences.

  • Ability to work in a hybrid environment, with a minimum of three days per week in the Seattle office.

Ideally, you’ll have:

  • Familiarly with Revit, and experience with Civil 3D and Revit interoperability.

  • Experience with Autodesk Forma.

  • Knowledge of CADD automation tools, including Dynamo, AutoLISP, Python, or PowerShell.

  • Experience supporting multidisciplinary transportation, infrastructure, or civil engineering projects.
