Job description

  • Perform preventive maintenance and routine site monitoring to ensure reliable operation of critical facility systems.
  • Operate, inspect, and maintain critical and non-critical infrastructure within a mission-critical data center environment.
  • Conduct engineering rounds and facility inspections, recording equipment readings, temperatures, and system performance.
  • Monitor power, cooling systems, pumps, fire protection systems, and environmental conditions throughout the facility.
  • Respond to electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and fire suppression system issues while minimizing operational downtime.
  • Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to manage preventive maintenance, work orders, inspections, and documentation.
  • Coordinate with JLL engineers and outside contractors, providing basic technical guidance and ensuring work is completed safely.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, equipment logs, facility rounds, and change management documentation.
  • Support emergency response activities and assist in troubleshooting critical building infrastructure.
  • Follow all safety procedures, company standards, and industry best practices to ensure maximum facility reliability.
  • Work a flexible schedule supporting a 24/7 operation, including day, evening, night, and shift coverage as needed.

Requirements

  • 5-7 years of experience in commercial building maintenance, facilities maintenance, data center operations, or critical facilities.
  • Experience performing preventive maintenance and monitoring commercial building systems.
  • Hands-on experience with HVAC, electrical, mechanical, pumps, and fire suppression systems.
  • Ability to perform engineering rounds, equipment inspections, and accurately record system readings.
  • Experience troubleshooting mechanical and electrical equipment in a critical facility environment.
  • Experience using CMMS/work order management systems.
  • Knowledge of critical infrastructure, cooling systems, power distribution, and environmental monitoring.
  • Strong understanding of safety procedures and mission-critical facility operations.
  • Ability to work independently, respond to emergencies, and support a 24/7 operational environment.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to coordinate with engineers, contractors, and facility teams., * Experience working in mission-critical environments or data centers.
  • Electrical or Mechanical License (preferred).
  • Military technical training or technical school education (preferred)., * How many years of experience do you have performing maintenance in commercial buildings, critical facilities, or data centers?
  • Are you available to work rotating shifts, including 2nd or 3rd shift, and support a 24/7 operation if needed?
  • Do you have experience with HVAC, Electrical and Mechanical?
