Job description

SleepImage is seeking a talented Full Stack Software Engineer to help build and maintain the software platform behind the SleepImage System. You’ll work across the entire technology stack, from APIs and data pipelines that ingest patient device data to the secure clinical portal used by healthcare professionals to review, score, and report on sleep studies., * Design, build, and maintain full-stack features across TypeScript/Node.js backends and React frontends

  • Work with AWS cloud infrastructure to deploy and operate reliable, scalable services
  • Build and maintain services that ingest patient data uploaded from mobile devices and surface it within our clinical portal
  • Model, optimize, and query data in SQL databases supporting processing and reporting workflows
  • Collaborate closely with product, clinical, quality, and engineering teams to deliver solutions that meet both user needs and regulatory requirements
  • Write tested, maintainable, high-quality code and actively participate in code reviews
  • Support documentation, traceability, and quality processes that keep our software audit-ready and compliant

Requirements

  • 3+ years of professional software engineering experience
  • Strong production experience with TypeScript and Node.js
  • Hands-on experience with AWS
  • Experience working in a regulated industry such as healthcare, medical devices, finance, aviation, or similar environments where quality, traceability, and compliance influence software development practices
  • Experience working with agentic tooling

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with React, oRPC, Drizzle, zod, TanStack, Vitest/Jest, and Playwright
  • Experience designing schemas and writing queries in MySQL or PostgreSQL
  • Familiarity with medical device software standards, including:
  • IEC 62304
  • ISO 13485
  • HIPAA / GDPR / PHI handling requirements
  • Prior experience in:
  • Software as a Medical Device (SaMD)
  • Medical devices
  • Digital health
  • Exposure to mobile data ingestion, Bluetooth/device data, or clinician-facing and patient-facing healthcare applications

  • Base salary range:$130,000 - $160,000 USD
  • This range reflects the expected base compensation for this role at the time of posting
  • Individual compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, and job-related factors

Location & Work Authorization

  • This role is open to candidates located in the United States
  • Fully remote; optional in-office work in Denver, CO (Cherry Creek)
  • Remote employees are expected to travel to Denver 2-3 times per year
  • Work hours must align with U.S. time zones
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship, as the company does not have the capacity to provide work authorization sponsorship at this time
