IT Support Specialist (Level 1)

Alternative Information Systems (AIS) has been a premier WNY IT service firm for 35 years, specializing in the SMB and the Public Sector markets. We are currently seeking a motivated and skilled IT Technician to join our team. We provide all levels of IT support to dozens of clients in the WNY area., This is a full-time, onsite position. Normal working hours 8:30AM - 5:00PM Monday - Friday. Occasional special projects may require working off hours or weekends with compensation., * Install and configure IT devices on customer sites, including server rack equipment.

• Provide desktop support to end-users, resolving hardware and software issues.
• Assist with basic network support and troubleshooting.
• Maintain and support Active Directory and user accounts.
• Ensure the smooth operation of Windows operating systems across all devices.
• Collaborate with team members to improve IT processes and support workflows.
• Document and track issues using our ticketing system.

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (must have a car).
• Proven experience in desktop support and basic network troubleshooting.
• Understanding of basic networking concepts.
• Familiarity with Active Directory management.
• Proficiency in Windows operating systems.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Self-motivated with a proactive approach to tasks., Education: High school or equivalent preferred
