Job description

Assists library customers in the use of the library’s public computers, including use of security software, Microsoft Office, PC Reservation system, Print Release system, and wireless network. Performs a variety of technical work in support of the Library’s mission.

Requirements

Do you have a valid Driver’s License license?, Do you have experience in Windows?, Experience with PC computers; intermediate-level understanding of Windows operating system and Microsoft Windows Office Suite., Customer service experience. Ability to multi-task and prioritize service requests from patrons and staff. Ability to take initiative and work independently within established guidelines. Ability to communicate with public and staff in a clear and friendly manner. Ability to communicate and resolve technical problems. Training will be provided. Possession of a valid California drivers’ license.

OTHER CHARACTERISTICS: Physical flexibility to move easily, stretch and bend; ability to lift 30 pounds; ability to stand at service desk for stretches of up to one hour. Hours will vary.

SELECTION PROCESS: Following initial review of applications, applicants with the most desirable qualifications will be scheduled for an oral interview.
