Job description

In the role of GIS Technician, we’ll count on you to:

  • Conduct spatial analyses and prepare maps using ArcGIS
  • Perform data input and editing of spatial and tabular data using ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online
  • Support field data collection using mobile GIS/GPS equipment
  • Follow documented technical procedures
  • Perform other duties as needed

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Geography, Planning, Engineering, Natural Science or closely related field, or a combination of education and relevant experience
  • Strong background in Python, specifically ArcPy and ArcGIS API
  • Experience with other spatial or data visualization software is a plus, * Associates degree in Geography, Planning, Engineering, Natural Science or closely related field, or a combination of education and relevant experience
  • Practical experience with editing, database development, and map production in ArcGIS
  • Experienced with Microsoft 365 Apps
  • Requires attention to detail, reliability, and ability to work with a team
  • Good written and oral communication skills a plus
