Job description

Acquisition Workflow Approval Routing Efficiency (AWARE) tool is an intelligent workflow automation solution to support the IRS OCPO in their goal to modernize their procurement processes. AWARE is built on SharePoint Online (SPO) using the Power Platform using Power Apps (forms), Power Automate (workflows), and Power BI (dashboards). Procurement data and documents entered in AWARE route through Procurement to perform policy-based reviews and approvals. AWARE stores the procurement data and documents on SharePoint Online, allowing for enhanced reporting options with Power BI - to track and manage workload; provide insights into contract writing systems & existing AWARE data. AWARE data enables leadership to gain real-time insights into OCPO and customer buying habits while helping users manage workload activities., Workflows and Document Management

  • Build model-driven and canvas apps, integrating with data sources such as Dataverse and SharePoint, implementing role-based security, and ensuring alignment with agency governance and compliance standards.
  • Integrate and maintain data governance including supporting SharePoint workflow tracker, dashboards, reports, policy, and records retention.
  • Maintain document automation, collaboration, review, and approval workflows built in the MS Power Platform, primarily Power Apps and Power Automate.
  • Evaluate and implement document management and workflows to integrate with Procurement for Public Sector (PPS, an SAP product).
  • Respond to AWARE help desk during business hours 8am - 5:30pm ET and claim user tickets with an average ticket claim time under 10 minutes.
  • Provide monthly and occasional ad hoc training to the users.
  • Identify and implement process and system efficiencies.
  • Document any changes as they are tested, adopted and implemented.
  • Conduct/support demonstrations of AWARE capability and develop presentation documents as needed.
  • Lead and coordinate requirements discussions, requirements development, testing and system implementation.
  • Provide support on possible severe issues of AWARE (e.g., Tool not available).

Visualization & Data Analysis

  • Maintain and build reports and dashboards in Power BI. Be able to work with more than 100,000 rows of data to display in a single dashboard view to help OCPO and its customers understand how they navigate the buying process, manage portfolios, manage spend plans for future procurements, and related metrical data.
  • Link data from multiple data sources internal to OCPO and external to OCPO/IRS to develop clear data tables used to develop and display information in a clear and concise manner through data visualizations.
  • Develop, maintain, innovate, and enhance workload tracking visualizations and make recommendations based on industry best practices on how to display procurement workload and resource management data to guide the process for assigning work, managing work, managing workload, and identifying any risks early.
  • Develop and maintain an executive landing page where dashboards for OCPO shall be maintained and managed.
  • Develop dashboards focused on business processes and management levels to guide leadership at all levels in making data-driven decisions.
  • Define, develop, and document future measurement framework for reporting and visualizations.
  • Define, develop, and maintain governance plan for maintaining dashboards.
  • Develop and implement a business process for receiving, evaluating, developing, tracking, and maintaining OCPO report requests to support OCPO and OCPO divisional reporting needs. Streamline activities to maximize efficiencies and reporting.
  • Develop and maintain an OCPO-wide catalog of available automation, reports, and dashboards to guide transparency and improve customer experience.
  • Conduct analysis of data to glean insights. This includes the development of visualizations and presentations to effectively communicate insights. Provide data storytelling support.
  • Utilize data science techniques to conduct forecasting, build predictive models, and/or utilize skillsets to produce other deliverables that support efficient operations and data-driven decision making.
  • Identify and analyze business cases and data needed to support business cases. This includes the identification of strategies to create new data that can improve analytics and data-driven decision making. Identify infrastructure, technology, or coding opportunities to improve speed to insights.
  • Provide analysis that notifies stakeholders and leadership of potential risk or issues associated with meeting performance goals and objectives.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Technology security practices?, Do you have a Bachelor’s degree?, * BA or BS in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).

  • 5+ years of experience with Microsoft Power Platform tools (Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps).
  • Experience creating data models, writing DAX queries, integrating multiple data sources, optimizing report performance, and ensuring data accuracy, security, and compliance with agency standards and governance policies., * Bachelor’s (Required)
